SAONA ISLAND

Saona island is the largest island in Dominican Republic. It’s part of Parque Nacional del Este (East National Park) and it is a government protected natural reserve. Large parts of the sea in that area are only just few feet deep due to many natural sandbars. It’s a great place to watch marine life, specially starfish and stingrays, even without snorkeling or scuba diving equipment. Just standing in couple feet deep crystal clear Caribbean sea.

The scuba diving trip to Saona Island area includes 2 dives – we choose the the best dive sites in the area where not too many dive shops go to. The non divers can snorkel above the scuba divers or relax on the boat and enjoy the beautiful Bayahibe coast. After the dives you will get lunch on the boat at Piscina Natural or on Saona Island beach (for groups bigger than 3 people).
